SlowArt Productions presents the group thematic exhibition, Digital Art Extravaganza. The exhibition will be held at the Limner Gallery from April 1 - 24, 2010 and is open to all artists working in any aspect of computer digital print media. This exhibition will include all aspects of digital art. Computer generated art, computer altered photography and collage and digital photography will all be considered. All computer printing formats are eligible.
ELIGIBILITY: Digital Art Extravaganza is open to all artists, national and international, working in any computer digital print media. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
IMAGE PRESENTATION:
ENTRY VIA MAIL: Submit 8.5" x 11" digital prints, prints do not have to
be archival, but must accurately represent the final full sized version. The back of print
must be labeled with artist's name, title of work, full size dimensions and price. The
same information must also be written on the corresponding image list.
ENTRY VIA EMAIL: This form is designed to be printed and mailed. To submit via
email, submit the information required on the entry form below (name address etc.) as the
text of your email message. Send your images attached to the email individually or as a
single zip file. Files sent via email should be in JPG format, 72dpi and no larger than
10" in any dimension. Another option is to post your images to a single web page and
submit the URL (web address) of the page instead of attaching files.
RETURN OF PRINT MATERIALS: If you want your print materials returned, a self-addressed-stamped-envelope (SASE) must be included with sufficient postage for the return of your prints. Artists outside the US may may add return postage cost to their entry fee at a rate of $1.20US per ounce of mail. If you do not want your prints returned, you must still provide a return letter size envelope with one ounce postage if you want notification by mail.
NOTIFICATION: Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance no later than February 28, 2010. Notifications will be made by mail using the SASE provided by the artist. Notifications will also be sent via email and posted to the web page: http://www.slowart.com/results before the notification deadline date.
ENTRY FEE: There is a $35.00 entry fee for 1- 4 prints If you
wish to include more than 4, please include $5.00 for each additional. Artists accepted to
exhibit will not be charged additional fees of any kind. Please make check or money
order payable to SlowArt Productions.
CREDIT CARD: Entry fee payments may be online with PayPal at http://www.slowart.com/prospectus/pay-dig.htm.
With mail entries print the transaction page and mail it with your entry materials.
AWARDS: Three artists from Digital Art Extravaganza will be featured in the upcoming Direct Art Volume #17, Fall 2010 issue. One artist will be selected for a two page spread in the magazine and two artists will be selected for a single page spread.
SALE TERMS: All prints in the show must be for sale. The gallery will take a 30 percent commission on all sales. Sale price determined by artist.
DEADLINE: The final postmarked deadline is January 30, 2010.
