Jamaica, Janet Robinson is a survivor of a harsh upbringing. Her work is rooted in her
past, her images inspired by memories from her past life in Jamaica, introspective
reflection expresses her inner world. The deep emotionality of her characters and
her intense use of color reflect a heated and turbulent world. She works primarily with
oil pastel and charcoal.
